I am very impressed with the training at Banthongyord. Over the past year I have seen very clear progress in my child, not only in badminton but also in discipline and a much greater sense of responsibility.
Training is tiring, but my child is happy and wants to come every day. Thank you to the Banthongyord coaching team for taking such good care of my child’s training and for being such an inspiration.

The school puts real emphasis on sports skills, discipline and building good attitudes in children.
As a parent, I feel reassured to see my children looked after closely by experienced and sincere coaches. They do not focus only on winning matches; they teach effort, patience and good sportsmanship.
The success of older Banthongyord players also makes me confident that this is a place that truly opens doors and builds a good future for my children.

Banthongyord Badminton School is an organization with clear goals and a clear training system, and it is clearly run in a professional way. I feel very lucky to have chosen this school as the place to train and develop both of my children. The team has given Nu Waen every chance to develop her potential, both in training and in competition.
The management is friendly and gives equal attention to every player on the team. They communicate their vision and goals clearly, so every player understands the direction of their development and can move forward together toward shared goals for the players, the coaching team and the school.

Frequently asked questions

The school takes basic-level students from age 5 to 18. This is an ideal age to build the basics, get used to the racket and learn correct movement from the very start.
Yes, of course. Banthongyord Badminton School has a basic course made for beginners. We believe that “talent is built through practice”, just like “May” Ratchanok, who started from zero here and went on to reach the world stage.
We use a combined system: Chinese-style technical discipline under Coach Xie Zhihua, with a focus on repetition to build muscle memory, together with sports science to make the body strong.
Yes. We have an open-door policy and welcome badminton players from all over the world. Players from many countries, such as France, Japan and the United States, train with us for both short and long periods.
Banthongyord has a scholarship program for committed and promising children. We select scholarship students and cover their costs, training and accommodation free of charge, to give them the chance to excel.
Regular courses run in the evening after school and on Saturdays and Sundays. Boarding students (full year) and summer students (school holidays) train 2 sessions a day and stay on site.
Yes. We have “BTY House”, premium-standard accommodation inside the school grounds. It is clean, safe and comfortable, for both scholarship players and students who come from other provinces or from abroad.
We take this very seriously, because athletes use a lot of energy. The school has a canteen that looks after nutrition, so players get enough of the right food for each day of training.
Our school has 18 synthetic rubber courts of the same standard used in world-level competitions (Yonex Court), with lighting and high ceilings designed for badminton. This helps reduce injuries and gets players used to real match courts.
Yes. We have a fitness room with a full range of weight-training equipment. Our training is not only on court: it also includes running and conditioning in the morning, to build the body’s “engine” and make it as strong as possible.
Safety is where we began (the school was first set up to keep children away from danger in a factory). Today the grounds are closed and fully fenced, with staff on duty 24 hours a day, and a warm family atmosphere where everyone looks after each other like brothers and sisters.
